Who Should Attend
This course is designed for persons carrying out more than 10 m2 of non-friable asbestos removal work. The course is conducted as a combination of theory and practical components in a simulated work environment.

Aim
The aim of this course is to enable participants to carry out asbestos removal work safely and without risk to their own health or the health of others. This training will reflect the specific type of asbestos work to be undertaken, and the health surveillance measures to be put in place when working on non-friable asbestos removal, including knowledge of decontamination and disposal requirements.

Course Outline - Day 1 Theory & Day 2 Practical
• Prepare for asbestos removal
• Prepare asbestos removal area and removal site
• Isolate removal site
• Carry out asbestos removal process
• Carry out decontamination process
• Clean-up worksite
• Contribute to and use documentation in line with regulatory requirements.

Pre Requisite
CPCCWHS1001 Work Safely in the construction industry (White Card) must be completed prior to course attendance & a copy should be included with your enrolment. Please check our course calendars for a suitable date to attend this training if you do not already hold the qualification.

Participants must have a suitable level of physical fitness to use basic hand tools, remove sheeting and set up a removal area using barricades, plastic sheeting and manually remove bagged or wrapped product.

Training Materials
Participants will receive a range of asbestos related material including the Code of Practice for the Safe Removal of Asbestos. All PPE is provided (including respirators, gloves, disposable overalls, safety glasses etc) however candidates must wear closed in footwear and clothing appropriate for construction type activities. If you have your own P2 respirator and safety glasses please feel free to bring along.

Assessment
Participants will be required to complete written and practical assessments and provided with a Third Party Verification Workbook. The Third Party Verification Workbook must be completed for an additional work site and signed off by persons holding CPCCDE3014 Remove non friable asbestos or CPCCDE4008 Supervise asbestos removal qualification. A copy of this qualification is to be returned with the third party report along with all the required evidence.

Outcome
Upon completion of the classroom training and assessment you will receive a Certificate of Attendance. To obtain a Statement of Attainment for CPCCDE3014 Remove non friable asbestos the Third Party Verification Workbook must be returned to ASTA with all requested evidence for validation. Participants have up to 6 months to complete the Third Party Verification Workbook subject to regulatory requirements

Delivery
The course will be delivered via a face-to-face format in either ASTA training rooms or at your workplace depending on numbers, client requirements and training facilities.
